Welcome, Autumn Winfield!

Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM) is pleased to welcome Autumn Winfield to the team. Autumn joins LMM as the Vice President of Workforce Development.

Autumn Winfield is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of dedicated service in the realms of workforce development and social services. Her journey towards becoming a prominent figure in this field began with a deep-rooted passion for uplifting communities and empowering individuals to reach their full potential.

Born and raised in New York City in a community marked by socio-economic challenges, Autumn developed an early understanding of the importance of access to quality education and employment opportunities in breaking the cycle of poverty. Motivated by this insight, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in human services and social work from Metropolitan College of New York, laying the foundation for her career dedicated to making a tangible difference in people’s lives.

Upon graduating, Autumn embarked on a journey of service, working tirelessly within various non-profit organizations and government agencies focused on workforce development. Through her hands-on experience, she honed her skills in program development, strategic planning, community outreach, and advocacy for marginalized populations.

With an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement, Autumn pursued further education, obtaining a master’s degree in public administration from John Carroll University. This advanced degree provided her with a comprehensive understanding of policy and frameworks and organizational management, empowering her to enact systemic change and drive innovation within the workforce development sector.

Throughout her career, Autumn has held a multitude of roles, each contributing to her breadth of expertise and her ability to navigate the complexities of workforce development and social services. From frontline case management to managerial positions overseeing large-scale programs, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a keen ability to inspire teams towards a common goal.

In recognition of her exemplary contributions and leadership with the field, Autumn was appointed Vice President of Workforce Development at Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry (LMM). In this pivotal role, she will leverage her wealth of experience to spearhead initiatives aimed at bridging the gap between job seekers and employers, fostering economic growth and cultivating a skilled workforce capable of thriving in today’s rapidly evolving job market.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Autumn remains deeply engaged in her community, serving on various boards and committees dedicated to social justice and equity. She is a sought-after speaker, skilled in sharing her insights and expertise at conferences and workshops nationwide. She is also a mentor to aspiring professionals entering the filed.
