Known as a global day of giving, #GivingTuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely-recognized shopping days, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. It kicks off the charitable giving season, when year-end donors focus on giving back and making a difference. The movement, which started in 2012 and now reaches 98 countries, celebrates and encourages philanthropy. The #GivingTuesday tradition is fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.
