LMM recognizes poverty as a prominent barrier to exiting homelessness. In 2021, LMM piloted a Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) program to assist individuals experiencing housing insecurity in successfully reuniting with friends and family or finding their own housing. Civil rights activist Harllel Jones was a critical piece in the founding of LMM in the mid-1960s as racial tensions rose across the nation.
LMM will not abandon our neighbor in their time of greatest need and will continue to advocate and serve amidst recent executive orders.
