Shelter & Warming Centers Open During Inclement Weather

Winter weather can cause many challenges, especially for individuals in our community experiencing homelessness. One of the ways the Men’s Shelter on Lakeside Ave. addresses these challenges is by keeping the shelter open for 24 hours a day once the weather reaches single digits or if there is a wind chill of -15 degrees.

If you or someone you know are homeless and in need of shelter, please contact United Way’s 211 hotline. If you are an adult who wishes to be served at the single-sex men’s shelter, you can come directly to the Men’s Shelter on Lakeside Ave. for immediate shelter. No appointment is needed at the shelter and we have ample beds available.

As of December 13, 2024, LMM is partnering with the City of Cleveland and Cuyahoga County to offer transportation services to individuals utilizing local warming centers. The LMM shuttle offers direct transport for people experiencing homelessness from the warming centers to the Norma Herr Women’s Center or the Men’s Shelter at 2100 Lakeside Ave. once the centers close for the day.

In addition to shelter availability, please see the link below for information on warming centers in the area.
