At LMM, we are proud to partner with the Korean Central Presbyterian Church (KCPC) of Cleveland in a shared commitment to serving those in need. From reaching out to marginalized communities to supporting families in financial hardship, KCPC’s active involvement in ministry aligns closely with our mission of love and service. In 2025, KCPC has embraced the theme “A Life That Bears Fruit, A Church That Shares Its Fruit,” and together, we are bringing hope, healing, and tangible support to those facing adversity. Through their unwavering dedication, KCPC’s congregation demonstrates the power of faith in action, and we are honored to walk alongside them in this vital work.
What about LMM interests the church? Is it a specific program, area of service, or population, and why?
The Korean Central Presbyterian Church of Cleveland (KCPC) is an immigrant church located in Brecksville and is currently affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) under the Presbytery of the Western Reserve. As the body of Christ, KCPC continues Christ’s ministry in this world. Just as the Lord proclaimed the Gospel, healed the sick, and drew near to those who were socially marginalized, sharing in their struggles, KCPC is committed to carrying out this work as well. While we are grateful for the efforts of the local Evangelism Committee in taking charge of this ministry, the entire church is engaged in and devoted to this mission in various ways including prayers. We believe that this is the very purpose for which God has established our church in this place.
What aspects of the church’s mission, vision, or ministry align with our work at LMM
Our church’s Local Evangelism Committee is dedicated to serving marginalized individuals in the community under the broader purpose and vision mentioned above. In particular, for the year 2025, our entire church is committed to the theme: “A Life That Bears Fruit, A Church That Shares Its Fruit.” One of our key action points is: “Let us practice Christ’s love and serve our neighbors.”
LMM’s ministry aligns closely with our mission and vision. In addition to supporting LMM’s work, we are also actively involved in ministry for women’s homeless shelters. Our mission is to help and support brothers and sisters in need, both within and beyond the church community?
In what ways does your ministry support people in the community experiencing difficulties and adversity?
Our church serves the women’s homeless shelter twice a month. We share meals together, engaging in table fellowship with the food we have prepared. Before the meal, we gather to sing praises and worship the Lord. Many of the sisters at the shelter actively participate, sharing their struggles, and we listen to their stories, pray with them, and share in their pain.
Additionally, we have been supporting families facing financial hardship, especially in the aftermath of the pandemic. Through these efforts, we reaffirm that in Christ, we are one family, and we pray that everyone may grow in faith and draw closer to the Lord.
How are your members and leadership supporting the next generation/young people of faith to walk in service to others?
There are no distinctions of age or gender when it comes to serving the Lord, nor are there generational divisions. That is why we strive to share the Lord’s vision with the younger generation by training them to listen to and obey His Word.
Our youth group is actively engaged in missions among Native American communities, sharing in their struggles and practicing the love of Christ. Additionally, our church’s family groups take turns serving at the women’s homeless shelter each month. It is truly a joy to see parents serving alongside their children in this ministry.
Furthermore, whenever challenges arise, our entire congregation unites in prayer for those in need and takes concrete actions to help them without hesitation. This unwavering commitment is truly encouraging and inspiring.
