Photos and stories of men who are homeless

I was an issue, for years trouble at the shelter. You’d see me under the influence, raising hell, and good at egging others on.

Then, and there’s no way to explain it, you didn’t see me in trouble. If the group was drunk and dumb, I was sober and working.

I only had what I’d learned on the streets, but I did have empathy, compassion, and hope.

I began working at the front desk at 2100, got into work-study, completed Employment Readiness. Then in 2009 I moved into
my own apartment and have begun delivering furniture for LMM’s furniture bank.
