Young African American Reclamation Project (YAARP)

A culturally specific after-school program which works to prevent crime and substance abuse among youth at-risk. Annually 300 youngsters who live in metropolitan housing are served through an educational and recreational program that stresses safety and health.

YAARP Jr. is funded by Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development) and Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health Services Board of Cuyahoga County (through U.S. Department of Health and Human Services).
