LMM’s Office of Advocacy partners with and helps to staff the Greater Cleveland Lead Advisory Council, a coalition of 70 organizations working on the issues of childhood lead poisoning. Educational and advocacy outreach to state and local legislators is conducted by the Outreach and Advocacy Associate Beth Baron. Additionally, this office has the responsibility of expanding and developing North East Ohio advocacy networks. Concerned Citizens Organized Against Lead (CCOAL) is a non-profit organization of parents of lead poisoned children and concerned citizens. CCOAL partners with LMM lead paint activities, continues to conduct Community Lead Poisoning Prevention Classes, and also expands outreach and community capacity.
