Fast Track to Employment

Fast Track to Employment provides job-seeking skills, life skills, job training and job retention support for young adults, helping them to become independent, contributing citizens of our community.

Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry has contracted with Cuyahoga County’s Employment and Family Services (EFS) to provide services to 500 individuals. All referrals to Fast Track to Employment are made by EFS and each is a public assistance recipient (either through Ohio Works First or Food Assistance Employment and Training) and is mandated to seek employment.

Key components of the job and life skills training include resume and cover letter writing, interviewing, customer service and conflict management. Critical services are provided by Fast Track to Employment’s collaborating partners. Lutheran Family Services offers trauma informed counseling for appropriate participants, and Project Learn provides class instruction and case management services.

Located in the Faith Building at10640 St. Clair Avenue, in a neighborhood with high levels of unemployment and poverty, Fast Track to Employment is easily accessible to those most in need of employment services.

Fast Track to Employment staff members—instructors, employment specialists and case managers—seek to create a positive, affirming and compassionate environment in which each participant is treated as an individual and supported and challenged from the time they enter the program until well settled in a job.

Classes are Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m .– 4:30 p.m.
