PORTRAITS OF HOMELESSNESS GALLERY AT CITY HALL
WHAT: Lydia Bailey’s Portraits of Homelessness gallery, featuring 40 photos and accompanying stories of the residents at 2100 Lakeside Men’s Emergency Homeless Shelter, will open at City Hall on April 19, with a reception from 5-7 p.m. hosted by the mayor’s office. It will include remarks from Lydia, Michael Sering, Director of Housing & Shelter, and men who are residents of the shelter. The gallery will remain at the City Hall Rotunda through April 24. (It will then travel to the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University from May 6 – June 20. At MSASS, Dean Gilmore, will speak at the reception, as will Rob Fischer, Co-Director of the Center for Urban Poverty and Community Development.)
WHO: Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry’s 2100 Lakeside Men’s Emergency Homeless Shelter - the largest shelter in Ohio, annually serving over 3,000 men who are homeless.
